Thought I was done for the year but Marilyn and I took a ride this weekend. Didn't know there was a posted pass on this road.

Turkeys

Winding road, in the rain.

Not much of a view on Saturday

A little low clouds at the summit:

Love all the great photo's, I have to admit I am a bit of a slow poke in twisties, but getting better.. some of your photo's show some awsome twists and turns, but I don't think I would do them justice...

and broomrider... i've been out to your neck of the woods back in '02... have some friends that work in wellington... hired a BMW... rode around the north island for a few weeks.. i know the south island is where i should have been riding.. but seeing my friends was more important...

BEAUTIFUL country... nice roads... nice people.. the problem i had was every time i stopped to take in the view... when i got back to riding i was on the wrong side of the road... lol... it happened a couple of times... well one more thing... beet root on a hamburger?.... wtf... lol

The only really important part of twisties is arriving safely at the end.

You are right I like my skin attached...to my body... not the road

I know I have to harden up...

Freighttrein,

I would love to see your pictures, but to be totally honest with you, I'm not going to go and click on each of them and wait for them to load

In the spirit of this thread, please link your pictures directly into the thread so they are readily visible to everyone.

You can do that by clicking on the icon in the "reply" page above the box where you type - it's the one with a picture of a mountain and sun that if you put your cursor over it it says "insert image".

In photobucket, you need to click on the "IMG code" below the photo (it's the last one) and then copy it into the insert image tab once it pops up.

Great pics everyone, I don't think I have any with signs, but I did take a tour through the hills earlier this year, and I'll be on the lookout when the touring season starts in the spring. All of these pics were taken around Jasper Alberta this summer on my wife's first bike trip with me.....next year I'll be sure to hit a few passes.
