    Default Geico Insurance

Well just thought I would pass on some pleasant news. Just got my renewal in the mail. Premiums went down 21 bucks for the next year. This is the 2nd year I have been with them now. Now why can't auto insurance do that?

We can't get GEICO for bikes in NH. I use progressive. Their premiums were GREAT. I hope I never have a claim but I wonder if their claims prossesing is as good as their rates if I DO need them...

I'm currently looking for insurance for my new 900 and I noticed that Geico was about twice as much as progressive for the same coverage. I’m Still shopping around for now.

I had GEICO auto insurance back in the early 80's when you actually had to be a government employee (Government Employee Insurance COmpany) to sign up. Had some A** H*** key my custom van. As it was on base the government reinbursed GEICO for the $$$. But they still canceled my policy.
Another thing is the number of their commercials. You almost cant pass 30 minutes in a day without one of their sales pitches on the Radio-TV-Satelite with must cost millions if not billions of dollars to run.

Progressive was really good to me when I had a mobile home. Just got the insurance and less than a month later the neighbors trailer burned to the ground and melted my skirting. Had a check in less than 2 days.

well I dont think 170 bucks a year for full coverage is too bad. same coverage was gonna cost over 500 with allstate.

This thread just illustrates the importance of shopping around. When checking out insurance for my bike, Progressive was $240 while Geico was $325 a year for equivalent coverage.

I called them about a cracked windhield while I was out of town. They had a local glass company out the next day.
