checking the coolant on a 1500 Drifter

Hellow I just bought a 1500 Drifter. I did not get a factory manual with the bike and don't know how to check the coolant in it, this the first water cooled bike I have owned. Is there a phone number from Kawasaki where I can get one ? I have heard they will send you one free. Thank you for your help

I believe it should be on the left side of the bike behind the side cover
