Thanks for posting that Carlo, will take awhile to read through it, looks like a great story.
" They would then place various items on it including such things as salt or talc pucks that had images embossed in them, dried egg noodles or beans, small balls of llama fur, herbs, and the clencher, teddy bear golden graham cookies. We inquired and were told that it was for medicinal purposes. We then asked what the shrivelled up alpaca fetuses and dried armadillos were for. The lady told us very sternly, because they are pretty, and then rolled her eyes at the idiocy of our question."![]()

reminds me of a book I recently read by a British woman named Lois Pryce who shipped her 250 Yamaha over to ALASKA and made the trip down from Anchorage all the way to the tip of South America. Amazing story much like the one you linked. Btw, I would highly recommend her book (she's a great writer, very comedic, and encounters many interesting ppl along the way!). It's titled Lois on the Loose.
like Brent said, i am going to have to check that out, seems like quite the journey !
