This season? 1 time. Pulled over by a State Trooper......he said I was speeding even though I had just merged onto the freeway and was going the same speed he was.....I was prolly going about 72 in the 65 and had my girlfriend on the back. He just gave me a warning and I was on my way. I thought it was kinda odd but he said if I would have ran he would have just let me go.....not too sure why he felt it necessary to tell me that. I honestly think that he just used that excuse to pull me over to make sure that I had a valid license or check for warrants or? *shrug*

The only time I've been pulled over has been at Deal's Gap in September this year. I was on my yellow VX. I pulled over and quickly pulled off my helmet so that the "officer" would know that I was older and not some squid. I was doing 54 in a 40, but he let me off with a warning. Yea me!!!

So, older and 14 over makes you not a squid, but younger and 14 over does?

Yay double standards!

Unfortunately, yes. You gotta know how to play the game! If it had been my son on the bike, I'm betting he would have gotten a ticket.

Sigh, I know, I'm not picking on you.

I"ll get old some day.

Till then, I pay the speeding tax.

2x this year...

Just one of the advantages of having some gray! Don't worry...you'll get there soon enough!

Till then....try to keep in under a hundred!

None, my bike is jacked up and I haven't had time to repair it. My car just looks like an absolute pile (it is) so it sometimes attracts them. I do whatever I can to blend in!

Pulled over once this year. Was for my burned out tail lamp on my en500. Was riding home at around 1am when the CHP pulled me over. The two officers warned me after I produced an led tail lamp thing to put on the back of the bike for the rest of my 3 miles home.

On the flip side, I've pulled over 3 this year.

1 was a ninja liter bike, for speeding 60mph in a 40. Cool dude, was active military on leave. warned him.

2 was a fully patched in Vagos member riding a special construction bike with the ape bars. Wanted to stop him and say hello as the Vagos had a green light on us at the time. Warned.

3 was a few nights ago, an older gentle man riding a Truimph Bonneville America (nice ride) for riding without a helmet. Had him park the bugger and take a cab home to grab his gear. also warned.

like speeddawg says, warnings/cites depend a lot on many variables some of which is the egregiousness of the violation, attitude, drivers history etc...

Zero here as well, and it ain't cause I ride like a grandma (seadog), just lucky I guess. Plus the fact that I drive an old farts bike so I guess they just leave me alone.

I have been stopped in road blocks on occasion, as the police do checks for drinking, lic, ins, etc. but only been stopped once other than regular road blocks, and asked to clean off my plate and to see my lic and reg for the bike....i was on my dualsport and it was very muddy and the officer said the plate needed to be cleaned was all...he let me go, no ticket, I went home and washed the plate off.

So, we are to assume your a patrollman/person?
if so what could we do to NOT be seen? albeit speeding and wreckless rideing will get us noticed for sure, any tips for us? any tips for us when/if we do get pulled over?...... I was told once that if we "look" (helmets, gear, ect...) likle we know what we are doing we will be less likely to be pulled over. Is this in fact true?

Post Pulled over

When this thread came out, I have (0). Last week, I have (1/1 )...After my exit from the interstate going to work this young county cop that looked like a rookie in the force stopped me...he said I was going about 51 mph on a 35 mph road. I was just following an SUV and I was the one 'targeted' not the SUV. I know our speedos are off, but I was not going toooooo fast!

I was polite and kept my composure... He gave me a WARNING ticket. Then I was on my way.
