I'm not lying here. I've been pulled over 5 times this season for really no reason at all...only 1 out of 5 times I got a ticket and I should have fought it becuase I saved my life...is it really the stereotype that all supersport riders are bad kids?
How many times have you guys been pulled over? Is it only me or do other riders get this feeling too: ![]()

You shouldn't be getting pulled over for no reason. I believe it is a violation of our Constitutional Rights to be puleed over for no other reason than to be on a motorbike.
What did the Officer(s) say when they pulled you over? Was their a specific reason? ie: illegal license plate mounting, no lights, etc. From what I recall about 10 years ago, the HA took this fight to our Supreme Court and won. They were being pulled over en mass for license checks and the sort. Problem was, they were not doing anything illegal or wrong to allow the police to pull them over. From what I recall, the had their lawyers take the case to our Supreme Court who ruled that is was in fact a violation to pull over an indivdual for no apparant reason or cause.

Ive been pulled over 4 times, 3 times for speeding, and once to 'check my inspection'
only one of the 3 speeding pullovers did i really deserve it, as the other two i was going normal speed for traffic on that road and while they where writing me a ticket for it, soccor moms in suburbans on cell phones putting on makeup where flying by 10 and 20 mph faster than i was going. as far as 'checking my inspection' the cop just pulled me over to hassle me, and i got let off.

5. No sticking tickets
EDIT: I'll tell what the pulling overs were. 1) Right after I got new bike, cop I know in Soco pulled me over to look at it 2) Got pulled over for no plate visible 2 days after buying my bike... Temp tag blew off, cop followed me to DMV so I could get another one 3) 'Nother one of cop wantin to look at the bike 4) Got ticket for no eye protection while riding. Happened to be out later than I thought and all I had was my mirror shield, so I was riding with it up. Cop didn't show up for court, so I walked 5) Verbal warning for 40 in a 35mph curvy area (part of Sandia Crest)

1 time, the day after I got my ZX10R, but it was one of my buddies who is a Deputy Sheriff and wanted to see my new bike. Word travels faster than the speed of Ninja, especially in a super small town. But for a "real traffic stop", ZERO, and I also plan to keep it that way.

1st time I was pulled over was becuase I was 16km/h over the speed limit ($110 ticket) becuase I didn't want to be T-boned...
2nd time: in a construction zone (50) but the exit ramp is 70 it doesn't say were the construction ends. So took the exit ramp at 76. Could have ran from the cop easily, but decided to pull over and wait for her to get in her truck and drive to "catch me". $350 ticket avoid by talking to her. She said that she didn't think I was right, but the only reason she ripped up the ticket was becuase she thought I was a nice, young man caught in the stereotypically look of a supersport rider. 3rd: was with a friend and the motorcycle cop tags a car in front of us for speeding, but waves the car through and calls us over. He said "I know you guys were speeding because the car in front was doing 90 in a 70" (I was thinking in my head you're an idiot, thanks for almost letting us get run over becuase you made everyone stop to get us two lanes away) in all fairness we were speeding, but we slowed down to 70 becuase we know a cop is on that road everyday in the same spot. Cop didn't give us the ticket but was being a real jerk about how we should "watch it". He later admitted he was bored and wanted to talk to someone about bikes...we thanked him for making us 1 hour late for supper with my friends mom and dad. 4th: pulled over becuase I "gunned" my engine when the lights turned green. Was way under speed limit, like 30 in a 50...(the new pipe makes it sound like I'm really giving it) 5th: same as forth and cop wanted to write me a $400 stunting ticket, but couldn't find his ticket pad. So there are the 5 reasons why I was pulled over this season. Only 1 ticket, but my god was it annoying and felt like a routine I had to go through every time I got on the bike.

Back in the day, when I used to ride a sport bike, I'd get pulled over all the time. For no reason whatsoever. I'd get picked out of a stopped line of traffic and be asked to present valid id. When i asked "Why me" I was told "it's for your own safety". About 10 years back a large group of HA were pulled over for "id checks". Their was no reason to pull them over, none given at all. (I've read that they purposely paraded in a very large group, in order to get pulled over, so that they would have a reason to file a human rights claim with our Supreme Court) Anyways, I believe their lawyers filed this claim based on the reason that if a biker (or anyone else) is not breaking a law, looking like he is about ot break a law, or has already broke a law, then the man has absolutely no rights whatsoever to single him or her out and pull them over. Now, i'm not gonna sit here and paint pretty pictures about what the HA really do for a living, and I am not niave in realizing they have their own reasons to fight this, but since then i have never been pulled over for no reason, ever.

0, none, nada. Last time I was pulled over was 1978 and I deserved it then, have deserved it since on occassion, but very very seldom do I exceed the limits on any road.

Ditto. My speedo is about 5% slow and I know it so i drive the limit on the speedo and I'm good. Without sounding preechey or like an A$$, follow the rules and maybe you'll not get pulled over so much. By your own admission you don't follow the rules. No sympathy from me.

I do follow the speed limits. Sometimes though I do stray over the speed but who doesn't? All I was wondering is if cruiser guys get pulled over as much as supersport riders like me...seems to me there is somewhat of a biased stereotype towards supersporters...
