Default followed a 2008 KLR the other day

Man those things look sharp. The rider was following another dual-sport and they were both loaded up with luggage. I wonder where they were heading. Anyway, I've always liked the KLRs and have always wanted one. Now that the 2008s are out, I'm wanting one really badly, but unfortunately, I've only got a 29 inch inseam. Ugghhh!

LOL... mine's the same! I'd love to get a Concours or something like that as a future bike, but my inseam will always limit me to LOWER height scoots.

AtlantaDave, frustrating ain't it? But Bad Company, you sir are an inspiration.
Plasma blue, I've sat on a few older klrs, but each time, I had to have a salesperson hold it up and try to convince me that I could do it. Next time, I'll try sitting on one without a seat just for kicks.

I only have 30 inch inseam, so I know the feeling! I love the new KLRs. Had one on the floor at work, and it left the same day.

Mine is not lowered as I am 6'2" tall....but they have lowering links that drop the rear about 2 inches, then slide the forks up in the triple clamps, and shave the seat down for another inch or so.
It will still be tall, but not nearly as bad as stock.
Its my fav bike of the 5 bikes I currently have, just love it.

I might have to consider that eventually

I am surrounded by great dualsport riding areas.
That pic is just 15 minutes from my house....thanks for the compliment.

I have posted many other KLR pics on the forum as well.

Crazyinkamloops, beautiful pics. I envy your bike and local terrain. I need to count my blessings in that I have a wonderful family, a reliable bike that I get to ride about three to four days per week, and nice scenery. It's just that some new things, especially relatively cheap, new, desirable things make me lose my focus.

JT, let me know if you ever get a klr to work for you. I like the seat shaving option. I wonder if lowering the suspension, interferes with the KLRs reason to be?

It might be a little while, but I'm keeping my eye open for an older KLR
