I have been thinking about a new helmet for a year now.
Well I finally ordered one 2 weeks ago, and got it 6 days later, thanks customs for not holding onto it too long. Well its been 9 great days with the Nolan so far. I have yet to find a downside to it. The liner is easy to remove to wash, and then replace. The flip down dark partial visor looks cool as heck, and works well to. So far have not used the option to plumb music into it, but likely will soon. Basically its just the best helmet for my head and my needs I have ever found.....I must have looked at 50 helmets before I got this Nolan, and it simply ROCKS !!! |

Thanks for the review, I've been looking at those as well. I absolutely have to have a visor on my helmets or I'm blind on a sunny day. I use the stick on window tint but have to replace it a few times a year. How is it for venting? Noise? Fogging? Does the visor use detents like a Shoei or just friction like an Arai?

A tiny bit louder than say a top of the line Shoei, but quiter than my other helmets.the little tinted visor is only up or down though. and I have had no fogging issues unless stopped in traffic and not cracking the visor at least a bit. |

Of course, ANY helmet that you WEAR EVERY TIME YOU RIDE beats any helmet that you don't like, so if possible, you want to try out a brain bucket for a couple of hours before you buy and ride away. |

I love my Nolan N102... since it's a modular helmet, the front flips up with a simple to operate yet completely secure latching system. It's great at stop lights or at the gas pumps/convienience stores.
The outside visor has 3 different detent positions.

Personally I would never buy a helmet on-line, as motorcdr said best to try it on, and I like to support my local dealers whenever I can. The only things I buy on-line are the things my local dealer can't get for me. I'm willing to spend a few more $$$ to keep them in business cause I like having them around.
