Default What to do with these stock parts?

I have many modified aftermarket parts on my bike and I'm still hanging on to the stock parts after 5 years now. Most likely, I will never sell this bike since I love it so much. Therefore, I doubt I will remount the stock parts but yet, a part of me is having a difficult time letting go of the stock parts which are laying around collecting dust.

For those who remove stock parts to add aftermarket parts, what do you do with the stock part? Do you hold onto it in case of a future mishap, sell the bike or simply change your mind, or do you sell it/give it away?

Well - you probably sell the stock mirrors to me (at a cheap price). LOL.

J/K - I still have my stock pipes and seat, and plan to keep them.

I have all mine too. The plan was to keep reinstall if i sold the bike (my experience has shown that most aftermarket parts have little effect on resale price anyway) then pawn the after market stuff on EBay. However it seems I have been giving them to friends as they break stuff, huh Big John and Spok?

that war goes on here all the time. I'm like you and Tina says that if you haven't needed it in a couple weeks/months you don't need it so get rid of it. win some, loose some.

I'm far from a packrat, but that's the same battle I have about needing it someday. The little inner stock part demon is winning.

Yep, I usually get rid of something if I haven't touched it in a year. But that stock part ghost keeps haunting me.

Just send all the leftover stock parts this way and when I have enough I'll build a bike and post pictures of my two wheeled Johnny Cash Caddillac.

+10,000

I've got boxes of stock parts, and boxes of aftermarket parts that were replaced with OTHER aftermarket parts!

Garage sale?
Hell no! We could have the BTK Biker Build Off.
If everyone pooled the parts in their garages and storage, we could probably build 5 or 10 complete bikes!

Who would want the old stock parts? I'm sure no one wants the all the smog control junk I took off. The stock exhaust does nothing but take up room. Who would pay for that thing?
