Cool Worst way to drop your bike

This one really sucks. This is really embarrasing. I had a bunch of neighbor kids poking fun at me while I rode my chopper down the street. Like the idiot that I am, I was not paying much attention to the kids on the other side of the street. One of them threw a stick at my and it went into the front wheel. Bike tossed me like a rag doll.

Did the kid survive?

the kids were fine, but I was not in such great shape as well as my bike. Bike is better now, but still rides goofy.

good ol #9 pulled into my bro's diveway everyone is on the porch and I was on a r6 I had for two weeks. The neighbor was puliing his harley out and I letting it run in the driveway. I was all done out in my gear but sure as S.h.i.t. I forgot to put the stand done when i went to set it down. It was like slow motion I can see everyones face . But all is good no damage except my pride. Must be those yamaha products. I'll stick with my zx6r.

Default The Iced Tea Incident

Purchase a street ready Kawasaki sports bike.
Bypass the recommendations for tank bags, tail bags and backpacks.

During the daily commute to work, stop by your local Publix shopping center and purchase a gallon of iced tea.
Oblivious to the physics of condensation, strap the iced tea to the rear seat with only a bungee cord.
Exit the shopping center with a 180 degree turn and a deep lean.

As 7 pounds of tea slides off the rear of the bike, relieve your bowels in your stone-washed jeans while contemplating the consequences of the rear-end of the bike sliding out beneath you.

Admire the scars on the left side of the fairing while praising God that the bike starts up again....
make up a story for the wife...

You plant potatoes, you get potatoes. 10/5 on doin' the parents. They should have been made responsable to pay for the damages. I'd talk to the guy and if he wouldn't volunteer to pay, I'd take him to court, you'd win.

Talking Ways to drop your bike.

I've been riding for over 40 years, but being a direct decendent of Calamity Jane, seems I've had more than my share of spills. Two I didn't see you mention:
1. Walking by your bike when it's on the side stand, not intending to ride because you have a badly sprained left ankle. Ankle gives out; you go down, and kick the kick stand; bike falls on top of you.
2. And here in Texas: riding by a cow on a caliche (nasty dirt/clay) road. Cow contentedly chewing its cud; you drop down a gear to pass the idiot in front of you who keeps hitting his break for every dip or pothole (they"re all over the place) and you're tired of eating his dust. Cow spooks at change in engine noise; cow runs at you; driver in front slams on break; cow body slams you into the road (bad road rash to left arm and two broken ribs). Here in TX, livestock has the right of way outside city limits and off freeway.

Reading ya'll's other posts reminded me of an early "bad" drop. I was 20 and had been living in San Francisco for a couple of years. I was visiting in my home town of San Bernardino, CA. My friends and I went up into the mountains and rented some dirt bikes just to do some trail riding. We were riding a dirt road along the top of a ridge and my firends were way ahead. I had ridden this area many times before, and thought I'd get the lead on them by taking a short cut throught the trees and undergrowth. There were several trails coming off the road wide enough for a dirt bike, which I had ridden in the past. Just beyond the trees and brush the hill had a gradual slope into a clearing with a picnic area on the far side. I planned to take the short cut down the hill and along the outer picnic area. Little did I know, they had remodeled. Coming out of the trees and brush, to my horror, I discovered the gradual slope had been dug away and the trail ended at the top of a retaining wall with picnic area below!!! I yelled, "holy s**" and shut my eyes. I came crashing down on a picnic table that had just been neatly laid by a family. Fried chicken, potato salad, beans, lemonade, etc. went flying every where. Thank God, they were over by their car, so only I was hurt. I was so embarassed and in shock. I managed to get myself and the bike up off the ground (a sturdy little jobber it was) and took off, afraid of what they would do to me. When I met up with my friends they took one look at me and started laughing, cause I was covered with food and a little blood. I started laughing and that's when I discovered I had broken several ribs and my tail bone, along with numerous other minor injuries. It's amazing how much pain adrenalin can numb. I just wish I could have had a video of it and heard that family's conversation after that.

Two times for me:
1. Bike fell over off its kickstand at the house and landed on one of my landscaped wall... denting the tank. Lesson learned: always double check after putting the bike on the kickstand.
2. Lowsided in some sand while riding through a corner. Less learned: be more attentive that time or maybe even just wait a few weeks and a good rain or two when the roads are still pretty dicey.

BEST STORY EVER!!
I dont think my drop holds a candle, this takes the cake so far. I just had my meanie a couple months, only had 700 km on it. Was in the right hand lane coming up to an intersection, red light, my lane clear, about 6-7 cars in the center lane. Coasting up to the lights cuz the dead starts were a little tricky, hoping that i could time it to roll up and it'd turn green. Well, just as I'm alongside of the last car in the line, I'm starting to drop a gear and get ready for a complete stop, when the 3rd car in line got impatient, figured he'd swing over into the open lane and get the jump on the couple cars in front of him. Pulls out right in front of me before looking and slamms on his brakes, just as I contemplate avoiding or getting airborne via his passenger door. I bank hard right, catch the gravel cuz around here they dont sweep the streets till June, and the bike goes down sliding towards the intersection as I slide on my @$$ up a McDonalds drive thru. Dropped my feet down and got a running start, grabbed the meanie before it entered the junction, and unloaded on the first blue car I saw. Here I am, 6'2", 190lb, with a shaved head and leather jacket ripping my helmet off and swearing at this elderly couple on how to shoulder check and change lanes, when out of the corner of my eye I see a blue car 1/2 in my lane about 50 feet back. Looked back at the old woman fumbling with her lock and the look in her eyes of fear, I must've took a couple years off her life. The way she was reacting kinda took the wind outta my sails though, picked my bike up, walked it into McDonalds lot, meanwhle the punk that did all this is walking up, scared and wondering what he could do to help, wish I didnt feel bad for yelling at the elderly couple cuz I sure think I shouldve "taught" some sense into the scab that caused it all...
Oh, then a couple gravel patches on the road, one for each side of the bike.....

1. Dropped my Nighthawk 750 backing it out my frinds drive way (incline).

2. Stalled out the same 750 making a turn and dropped the bike, with my wife on it. My wife hurt her wrist.

3. Dropped my brand new week old 650r at a gas station. Put my foot down in some lose gravel. Again my wife on back. This time no one got hurt, thank God. I don't care if the bike gets damged as long as no one gets hurt.

I guess God is telling me to invest inn sliders!

How about adding:

129. Putting sidestand almost all the way down on bike with a rough idle.

130. Putting sidestand almost all the way down on a windy day.

131. After not being able to start it for the millionth time, you manually knock it over via boot-to-bike.
