I turned 50 a long time back, so I started here as Bud (and not Bud Lite), and I kinda wish you would have started this sooner. <g>

Hi Julie, I know it is obvious, my name is Brian. I have enough trouble rembering my different passwords for work, forums etc. that I needed to have something easy to remember

My given name is Tim. I often tell people I was named after St. Timothy (which usually draw laughter).

Of course, my brothers had lots of alternative names ...

Tim, I tried that trick for a long time with my name, Mark. Seems like there have been too many other Mark's with poor reputations since my patron saint wrote the gospel.

Julie,
I wasn't going to get in on this, but what the hay!
My real name is not "Mariah" as some thought. I'm really "Joy".
My poor Mom had 5 miscarriages. I was the first live birth out of six for my parents, thus the name! I know this may spark some real fun around here since I've withstood many years of hearing names and words that rhymed with Joy. And for the record guys, Singing "Joy to the world" is illegal in my book just so ya know....

So things like saying Sassy is Joy's Toy really upset you? Or if we said something like you should name your bike Roy, then it's Joy's toy Roy. I'm glad you told me, I'd hate to get you mad....

Smile Joy's Toy.......

Good thing Flyin' that you're not the first to poke fun at my name... I'm happy-go-lucky most of the time, so you won't force me into tears over something small like that.
But just remember what they say about paybacks!

Give as good as get I always say, and with my mouth I get it back alot, and deserve it but that's half the fun at being able to laugh at yourself.

I think Joy is a lovely name. The meaning behind it makes it even more special.

Just ignore those guys...

Woody....I wish you were right about that....but my boss's name is Sylvia.....and she has a hard time portraying all of the qualities that Joy....the faculty member does so easily.

Vacation time approved or not....I am going....it just makes it much more enjoyable to take time to enjoy the ride there and back....and meeting all of the members and not feel like time has to be watched so intently.
