no.

I thought of getting some grab handles but after she saw pics of them she's not sure if she'd feel secure holding onto those.

I'm interested in those.

Does anyone know if it is legal to have a dog as a passenger. Someone was telling me they saw a pooch on the back of a bike saddled in the seat somehow. My friends know that I am getting a miniature schnauzer and keep asking if I am going to let it ride with me. I would love to show up at their place with the dog on back...

Dogs are fairly common for many riders to have as passengers. In fact, here is a website mainly for that purpose Dogs On Bikes: Dogs That Ride Motorcycles!

I would suggest you check with your local DMV to make sure there are no laws "against" having an animal as a passenger. If nothing against, then I would say it's a go.

One more thing, Please please please make sure your pet is comfortable riding with you and properly secured, preferably to you. I really do hate the idea of a scared pet becoming anxiously separated from the bike and ending up as roadkill.

Thanks meanie - absolutely safety first. In fact this is something that I would broach at a campground or something first to get a sense of comfort level...
