Thumbs down Think twice before you shop at RideGear.com

I wonder if anybody else had a similar problem, but this one has been very frustrating for me. So I wanted to share. Maybe you can share yours too, if you had any...

I order a pair of gloves about a month ago and still could not get it. They did not reply my emails, what I got was automatic replies giving me ticket numbers. I have 5 tickets that nobody ever contacted me about. After a lot of attempts to talk to them on the phone they tell me that they did not receive the gloves from the warehouse and that they did not knew when they would receive them. I couldn't get my money back, but they offered me store credit although the gloves that I ordered seem to be available on their web page! Like I am interested in doing business with them any more!!! Please think twice before you shop at RideGear.com!!!

Your credit card should issue you a chargeback if you request it.

A buddy at work got the run around from them too. Only it was the bait and switch. They had a great price on some very expensive riding boots that were normally 300.00 for 149.00, he ordered they said oh yes, we have them,he waited then they came back and told him well we don't have those anymore, but we do have these, etc etc.

For the hell of it I sent this to them:

Just thought you should know that your company is really receiving bad press on your bait and switch and poor customer follow up. I felt this was important to tell you if you have any chance of being a successful web business.

I personally hate to see people treated this way if you are serious you may want to take a look at these comments:

If it has been less than 60 days since you ordered, put the charge on your credit card in dispute. Just that move alone costs them $50, I'm told, even if they eventually convince the card not to reverse the charge.

Somebody else said to report them to the BBB, but that would assume they're members or that they care. They've already been reported, and continue doing the same thing, so why bother?

Dh ordered new brake pads from RideGear on March 5 and still hasn't received them. After emailing them several times, he got an email today that they've shipped them with DHS shipping, but where there should have been a tracking number was blank. He's emailed them back requesting a tracking number. He paid through paypal. We'll see if he gets the pads. If not, he'll protest the charge through paypal and get his money back. We won't order anything from them again.
