I thought I'd pull a prank on a guy I work with the first day I rode my bike to work by blocking him in.

He did that little kickstand spin with his CBR600RR -quick, slick, and very impressive. He just grabbed the left grip and back of the rear "fender" though, not the peg. I'd never seen it before.

Your asking for trouble, esp if your kickstand and mounting bracket are not beefed up!

I do it similar but not just balanced on the kickstand.
I grab the handlebars and pivot it counterclockwise on the front wheel and kickstand while pulling down on the handlbars to raise up the rear tire. Easy because my bike is so light (360 lbs). Not sure how easy this would be for bigger bikes or cruisers.

do you have a pic or video of your technique?

I tried it today going clockwise like that vid someone posted and its just as easy to go either way.
