And cellphone...

Of course, in his case, it flew out of his pocket and disappeared into the brush... ain't that just lovely. He heard it ringing when his wife kept calling for him, but was afraid to move. the battery eventually died.

It was only when he became desperate that he decided to chance the crawl. Happy ending, though... he's good as new. We did have a ride for him last year in celebration of his recovery, about 20 friends. He was well enough to join the ride. Great day.

had it been a cruiser it would have been because the guy was drunk or got something in his eyes because he wasn't wearing a helmet or less than a full face.

That reminds me.. one more item to keep in the topbox/pannier/fannypack would be glowsticks.
Heck with glow sticks, I'll carry one of these and launch flares out of it:

he, I resemble that remark..............okay, I never ride drunk, but I take pride in my poser gear.

I'm with you on this darrly, the "lets blame the sportie rider every time thing is getting old."

There are crappy cruiser riders, crappy sportie riders, and the crappy dual sport guy I passed on a " S " curve with a passanger because he sucked

news flash.............accidents happen to all bikes, and it aint always because they act squidly

I am still willing to bet sport bike riders practice their craft at least twice as much as cruisers do
