Default Yet Another Caution Message

The weather is warming up... or maybe the MPG advantage of a cycle in this ever-increasing-price-of-fuel has brought you to the two-wheeled world. Whatever the case, more of us are taking to the roads lately.

And unfortunately, the accident rate seems to be on the rise. Numerous posts here have pointed to this fact. Heck, the traffic news this morning had four or five of 'em in my neck of the woods inside of a two hour period.

Hence this message borne out of concern for my fellow forum members... and for for all my other fellow riders -

Keep Alert, Resist The Urge To Shed The Gear, Keep The Speeds Realistic, And Play It Safe.

Thanks for the warning, I think we all need them now and again.

I do say though that I am glad I live in Az. We have bikes, mine included on road year round, so we are fortunate enough not to have cagers learing to look out for us every 6 months or so.

Be safe everyone and keep it rubber side down.

Yup. And do keep in mind that everyone else on the road may be more agitated due to gas prices and trying to do as many things on a given trip as possible. Diligence often goes out the window like a cigarette butt in times like these.

OTOH, if prices continue their rise, maybe the roads will start thinning out a bit. Yeah, right.

Nows the time to buy a bike if you're gonna do it... It would be interesting to see if the accident numbers spike at the same time large amounts of newbies are taking bikes off the showroom floor.

good call Alex. i see some regulars posting here, but hopefully some of the newbies read this as well. then again, we all need to be reminded not to get complacent on the bike.

That's normal this time of year, even in places like California and Hawaii, where it's year-round riding weather. You just have to be careful whenever you mount up.

A couple of years down the road will be a good time to buy a used bike when these folks figure out they aren't really bikers.
