Hey is PA the only state that has a free MSF course?

I don't know; all I know is that you have to pay for them in Colorado.

wow! thats insane, I'm lucky to be in PA. Maybe thats why many people don't do the MSF classes, I would have to believe that if they were free almost everyone would do it. $300 on top of everything else is a lot of money.

take advantage of it, here in nj it was 210 basic and 90 for the ERC if i remember right,

Illinois charges $20 to reserve a spot in a class, and at the end of the class you have the option of getting your $20 back, or donating it and receiving a T-Shirt.

While I took mine through riders ed too, NJ state does offer them free of charge:
State of New Jersey - Motor Vehicle Commission

As you can see, they dont offer nearly enough...

My basic was $250 and I just took the intermediate and it was $125. Worth every penny, however I wish it where cheaper or free. It might encourage more people to take them in my State.
