Default Anti-fog

On Sunday I got caught in a torrential downpour but I have to say, it was good in a few ways. I am now familiar with riding the bike in the rain. My rain gear works (glad I got the more expensive gear and I had trouble getting the pants on and cheaper stuff would have ripped) but I must get the waterproof boot covers and I need something to water proof the gloves. Already ordered so that I am ready for Americade just in case.

Now here it the question. Does anyone know of anything that you can spray/use on your glasses to keep them from fogging up? Normally the air hitting them clears it up but it wasn't working and I had to take my glasses off. Since they are prescription, it was a little more difficult to see without them and I want to avoid that in the future.

I thought I read here once about some anti-fog product called "cat pi$$" or something gross like that. (Maybe it was "Pig Snot"? ) I'm serious.

It was used for facesheilds, so I don't know if it would work better/worse on real glass rather than the plastic used in your sheild.

I use Scott anti fog cleaner on the inside of my faceshield. It works okay.
Alot of times in the summer here, when your riding to work at 5 AM, the shield
gets a little foggied up where it gets to be dangerous riding.

Lucky...

1. Take off shield
2. add 1 small drop of dish soap to the inside of sheild
3. buff out with tissue till Chrystal clear
4. it's free and it works.

^^Even more free is your own spit. Millions of swimmers can't be wrong...

- BTW: use a lint free scratch-resistant cloth, not a tissue. No wood products on your shield...

Dish soap does work, though I would stay away from stuff that has stuff in it meant to soften hands. Joy is a good choice.

It depends on the shield and the brand of soap. When fogging becomes an issue again, reapply.

That's why you polish it off. It won't foam with the very little amount of it that remains in the shield.

Like I said above, though, spit works, too.
