Well, I had been hoping to find a good Guzzi forum (no worries... you guys are stuck with me FOR LIFE regardless!!!) and I found this WildGoose Guzzi forum but haven't been able to succesfully register yet (says I need to send admin an email w/ request, but I can't find it for the life of me!)..

In any event... low and behold, I found myself being talked about on their forum lol.. just made me chuckle.

They agreed I got a screaming deal, too, which is enough to satisfy me
I love the comment "Maybe we need to remove this so she wont think we are a bunch of Horn-dogs...At least not the first visit"

Default Outstanding!

Bonnie~
Just found this with your pic on your lovely new Guzzi! What a fantastic find... and I agree with the Grand Theft charges

You will have tons of fun bonding with your new ride, I'm sure. Can't wait to hear the sound clip.

Yep, I'm thinking Hwy 20 is beckoning... heed the call!

Congrats...
Don

I NEED to get this soundclip up! I leave for Europe tonight and am busily packing but was planning on getting one more ride in prior to leaving her for two weeks Will see if we can't get the video up of the sound. If not, definitely when I get back!

Default Spiffy

Hey, that's a spicy meat-a-ball! But Guzzi keeps mounting the cylinders the wrong way!

If I tried to keep up with your displacement increase, my next bike would be 2145cc, so I guess I'm not.

Speaking of "character," watch out for this:
One particular oddity that plagues Guzzis is their tendency to rise and fall mid-corner in reaction to throttle changes, due to the rotating mass effect of the crankshaft.

For more experienced riders, this isn't much of a problem because they tend to be smooth on the throttle through corners, but it can still be annoying.

Guzzi's have always done this; previously the significant shaft effect concealed this trait. Now that Guzzi's parallelogram swingarm has all but eliminated shaft effect, the chassis rolling caused by the crank's rotating mass can be felt.
