Hi - just a friendly 'Hello' from the UK (Hartlepool in the NE) - I've been lurking on the forum for a while so thought I'd register
I'm late to biking (51!) and passed my Full Test just this last June, after learning with my daughter which was a nice thing to do together! Shows you how learning gets a more difficult as you get older- she passed nearly a year before me! The bike test is about to change over here from October 1st, so really pleased to get through before then at 2nd attempt! There's so much good stuff on this site - my daughter and I both have ER500s - mine's restricted to 33bhp for 2 years as I passed the test on a '125' rather than '500' |

Welcome to the funny farm. I'm not familiar with your restrictions over there, but I guess there is a reason for it. I can't think of one, but there must be some reason.

Thank you everyone! Regarding restrictions over here, if you want to ride any size motorcycle, you must be over 21 and pass your test on a bike of at least 35kw (47 bhp). A 'Standard' bike licence is to pass on a '125' and then you're limited to 25kw (33bhp) for 2 years, and then you can ride any bike. My duaghter passed the big bike test, so she's off and flying |
