Question I have engine trouble

I need some help i have 2001 kaw zx1200r and when i slow below 2000rpm it want start missing it sound like a cylinder is missing. if i crack the throttle a little it will clear up untill i slow down again it starts after about 15 minutes does it sound like a plug? it has 5000 miles

I'd check plugs and wires first. Good burn makes plug a light tan.

I'm thinking plug or wire connections to and from plugs.

Have the valve clearances been checked lately? Having "tight" valves can mask other conditions.

I would start with plugs, fuel treatment in the tank like seafoam etc.. and a new air filter. If this doesnt clear it up, you might want to check to make sure your main jet is not messed up or idle jet on the carb.
