Default Beautiful ride pics & story

Wife & I went on a really nice ride yesterday to Eagles Mere. We took a couple of dirt mountain roads too on the ride * dirt roads suck * We spent about 8 hours on the bike. All in all it was a fun day we got to see alot of beautiful country.

We did have one problem tho We were pulling out onto a narrow mountain road and the bike was sucked off onto the very soft edge. Needless to say we went down. As it fell I tried to catch it be was tossed off the left side of the bars I hit and was able to catch my balance so I turned to grab my wife but it was to late. She was on the road, Thank God she didn't get hurt she was shaken her helmet had a couple chips out of it. I told her to lay still for a couple second to see if anything hurt. A couple people came running over to us that stopped their car to help. I picked the bike up and we both got back on to go home. I was worried about her she said "where are we going?" When I told her home she said " HELL NO! We didn't come all the up her to turn and go home."

We ended up finishing the ride ( Even tho I was worried about her being hurt ) and got some great pictures. On the way back we had a nice dinner and then relaxed the rest of the night.

Today He back & butt hurt pretty bad & my Leg and ankle hurts but we are both looking forward to riding again next weekend.

Even with the accident we ended up having a great day.

I am still a little shaken knowing that my honey could have been hurt and I wasn't able to catch her and it would have been my fault. I hope that feeling goes away soon.

Great pics. You two will be fine. Doesn't take long to get over oops's that nobody gets hurt. Wife and I have fallen over a couple times (stopped) because she wiggled when she should have not. Luckily these fall overs were when no one was looking and there weren't any pics so they really never happened.

Thanks everyone, we are both feeling pretty good still a little stiff. Maybe thats just from spending 8 hours riding too.

I'm glad you all liked the pictures. Next trip the camera will be out a lot more.

That feeling comes with being a responsible adult, I hope for both of your sake it never goes away. My wife has been riding for 15 years, only time she has been down is like you, basically sitting still and lost footing. I nearly dropped my bike in the middle of a traffic lane to run back to help her. This happened on the Blue Ridge Parkway this summer and I still cringe whenever she stops on unlevel ground thinking about what happened.
Glad yours is gung-ho and wanted to keep going, and you both came through with only memories. Keep your eye out for an 800 or a 500 for her, she'll be tired of looking at your helmet soon it sounds.

I think she will end up with the Nomad. I want to get a mean streak in a year or two.

Wow, those pics are great! Very happy you and your wife are okay after the fall. How far is that from Central NJ? I would love to ride up once I get my bike back from the shop.

It's in the general area where I made the yellow dot on the map. Hope that helps.
