Hi everyone! I have been reading the forum discussion for the last 4 months since i bought my vulcan 900 custom 07 this past summer.
I decided after a good sunday of mods on my bike that i should share my experience with the forum. I just lowered my rear and front suspensions last weekend. I had a easy experience with the mods and a spectacular result! 3 inches in the back, 2 inches in the front. I attached pictures of my bike. I have more pictures of the rear mod that I could post; I took a picture of every single step. For the front it was such a joke that i didn't had the time to take a single shot! Later. thanks for the welcome!
I bought the scootworks rear lowering kit (choice of 1,2 or 3 inches) and the front lowering kit sold by scootworks, made by Progressive. the front was a easy 20 minutes thing, including the reading of the instructions! you remove the caps of the forks, pull the stock spring, slide the new spring in place, add the spacer (provided in the kit, you cut it to the lenght you want to lower the bike) and then put the caps on and its done! the bike is riding great! yes a little bit more intimate with the bumps on the street, but hey! Compromise?!? For the rear mod, you need a bike lift. Every steps are simple and you don't need to be a mecanician. the proper tools and a helper and you go. I don't have pics of the front job in progress, but like I said it's very simple. you could find more info from the web site of Progressive Suspension, or on the site of Scootworks. there is other supplier online, I sure, but thats where I choose to buy my front and rear. Let me know if you would be interested to see my pics of the back in progress. |

i've no idea what the tunnel de la Manche is... I assume it's the french name for the Channel Tunnel but i've never heard it called that before... *shrugs* I thought it was called the Channel Tunnel in France too... You can't actually ride in it, you have to ride onto a train and then the train takes you through the tunnel. It takes about 40-45 mins from Folkstone, Kent to Calais. |

hi!
Channel Tunnel from England, Tunnel sous la Manche from France! Its the same. The train you are talking of, is it in the one we see with all the bikes park on one of your pics? |

oh, i assumed it was just "The Channel Tunnel"
![]() yeah, that's the train. I've been to France twice on the bike, so any pic of bikes inside a train will be the Channel Tunnel or tunnel sous la Manche.... |
