A few months back we bought a Honda Spree scooter at a yard sale and transported it back home in the trunk of my Camry. The intention was to have a starter "bike" for my eleven year old daughter, since she hasn't been interested in getting a dirt bike. The scooter has been languishing in the garage, being worked on slowly over the past couple of months, and I finally nudged my boyfriend to finish it up.
He spent five hours in the garage on Saturday night and brought it home on Sunday. Here are the results! Enjoy! ![]() YouTube - Eden rides_0001.wmv

Liz, that's terrific!!! I loved the video! Especially the part where Edan takes off and Tony is left shrugging his shoulders! LOL
...and two pretty young ladies beside their steeds at the end! Is she getting a tattoo next week? LOL |

Tony was on a roll last night with the video. I could see him giggling every time he created a new piece of the music (he had his head phones on).
You are so right about her wanting my bike! I'm already looking for an upgrade, and trying to figure out how to keep the 500 while still buying a new one. She's still 4 years away from being able to legally ride ( ) so I'm not sure we'll keep the 500 quite that long! Thanks all…gotta love the weather that day, too! It was remarkable for late November.

That looked like so much fun! I wish someone had taught me how to use the brakes that way. After 2 years of swerving to avoid things.. i finally learned how to use the brakes properly at the MSF course. heheheh...
I'll be sure to use that technique on my daughter when she starts learning on my Rebel.

Her school is too far away; it would take her half an hour on that thing. It's absolutely gutless. Glad you're all getting some giggles out of this…it makes me snort I laugh so hard! ![]()

Excellent, Liz!
Congrats to the BF for the nice resto job he did... no ugly blue cloud of oil smoke as she wends her way through the lot! I noticed it didn't take long before she was trying the little downhill part there at the margin of the lot. She will do just fine! Rock On. Don

Yep, she rocks! The thing Tony and I were remarking on was how instinctively she is putting her feet up when she starts and down when she stops. Our conclusion is that she picked that up through observing us ride.

Good job on the scoot!! Your daughter is very lucky to have a Mom as cool as you Liz. I think you should find a new bike for yourself now, so she will get yours in good shape. Hay any excuse to up grade!!
