Default Motorcycle covers

I won't have a garage to store my bike in for at least another year and a half and the gf said she would get me one for christmas... and then she had to ruin the surprise because she realized she didn't know what to get. haha That's ok though, because as long as I get one that's all I care.

So what should I get? It's going on '81 in my sig.

I got a Walmart cover which has worked pretty good ; however my bike stays stored at Public Storage.
I only use my cover when I keep my bike out over night at my place sometimes.

If you have the room for it, ie not on the street, the Cycle Shell looks like the hot tip to me. (Remember to stake the floor down if you're in a high wind area.)

A friend of mine uses this and is happy with it.

That's going to be my next purchase early next year. A regular cover just isn't cutting it and I won't have a garage for awhile.

I'm on the street a lot so the cycle shell is out. I need something waterproof and durable. Hurry, my bike is in great peril.

If that's you, I'd tell you to get something cheap. No matter how good the cover, dampness from a wet road will get under the cover, so waterproof/resistance really is academic. And in my opinion, the more generic the cover, the less likely someone is to look underneath to see how stealable things are.

87handmedown--The motorcycle rescue team is on the way to take the bike to the no kill shelter until you take classes on proper care and feeding of a motorcycle.

I guess I'm lucky in that I store my bike in a co worker's dry storage barn for a whopping $50 for the winter.. it's in good company too... there's a C6 'vette in there, a '72 trans am and a butt load of other people's toys...

If I'd kept it in a mini-storage unit it would have cost me about $600.

Here's what I did when I lived in an apartment. Dont have quite the extreme elements that you have up north but it can be pretty damp and humid down here.
Take two large tarps. Lay one down and drive the cycle up on it. pull the tarp up and around the cycle. Take the 2nd tarp and put it over and wrap tightly. Its gonna be a pain to get in and out of but its probably the best at weatherproofing your gonna get with it outside like it is. Best I can do for ya. Good luck!
