Hey guys is there a cheap way on communicating (besides hand gestures) with the person you are cruising with, I dont mean the passenger but the other motorcyclist. I dont want to end up spending 100+ dollars just somethinig less then that

You could pick up a pair of FRS radios for around $60. Add combo ear phone and mic and you can talk with a helmet on. Some have voice activated circuits, but it's usually easier to press the talk button with those units. They can clip on your jacket or be strapped to the handle bars. The big advantage of the higher priced com units are features like audio inputs for music devices as well as automatic mutiong of those devices. Some even are full duplex so you can talk freely on an always on circuit. I've been evaluating units myself, but the one's I'm interested in are over $150.

I have a J & M handlebar system and I have a dual FRS system. THe J & M is pricey but worth it if you want top performance. The FRS will do the a decent job if you aren't worried about other accessories to plug in or want top quality sound. I already had the FRS radios, therefore, I went to www.motocomm.com and bought two sets of helmet speaker/mic systems. It provides the speakers and mic and the plug in wires to the radio with a seperate pust to talk button to mount on your grip. The cost was $60 per set, plus whatever you pay for your FRS radios.
