So, this is my first newer bike, with all these safety weitches. 1994 Vulcan 750. The neutral light started coming slightly on in gear, then when I put it in neutral the light flickered and went out. I think I killed it at the same time, not thinking too much about it. Then, next time I turned the key on, I couldnt get the neutral light to come on, I cannot get the starter to do anything. I thought that if the neutral switch went bad, I should be able to bypass by trying to start with clutch pulled in, but still nothing. What do you think?

Put the kickstand up, pull in the clutch and give it a shot. The bike should not start witht the kickstand down and the tranny in gear, even with the clutch pulled in. Oh, and fix that nuetral switch problem too.

It's probably something in that circuit that is messed up. Anyway, try what I suggested and see if it will start. It should. Then you can investigate the nuetral light/switch problem.
