I am curious how a cooler spark plug works vs the hotter counter part. I have a Mean Streak that uses NGK DPR6EA-9 plugs, but I am considering a cooler plug DPR7EA-9. Will I see any noticable difference between these two plugs? I had heard that the cooler plug may help with some of the noise that the big vulcans have. Is there any negative effects I should consider?

Potential fouling.... I went down 2 steps to the DPR8-EIX-9 Iridiums. 2000 miles have not had any problems. They are quieter, but do still have some noise.

colder plugs are good for racing or nos. unless you run hard alot they will foul .been there. the only noise difference will be missfire. i went with nology silver.moving 1 step should be ok. i went from an 8 to a 10 when i fouled.
