95' zx6r cold start takes very long

I have a zx-6r 1995 and in everyday when i do a cold start it takes forever and a day. I am not sure whats going on as it has only recently start acting up. I also just purchased a new batterey and the start seems fine so im sure whats wrong. however, when the bike does start it will die on the first start and ill start it again. then when it is running it sounds very weak like its gonna die and also the idle seems off.

all of the above points to a fuel problem. could be too much fuel, too much air, not enough spark, etc.

I'd bet a dollar to a donut hole that if you changed your plugs you get better starting....right away...LET US KNOW!!!

thanks for the suggestions, gonna have a complete tune-up done so hopefully everthing will be fine after that.
