2004 Kawasaki Bayou 250 will start, but not keep running when I let off the START button.

I just picked up 2004 Bayou 250 with very low hours. It has been sitting for at least 4 years, with a cracked case around the oil drain plug. I was able to repair the drain plug, but when I try to start it, It fires right off when I push the starter button, but when I let go of it, it stalls. Again, when I restart it, and hold the button in and keep it in it will run. But again, as soon as I let go it STALLS! ! ! ! H E L P, P L E A S E ! ! THANKS.

Check your fuses and the relay assembly, and the connectors from the key switch all the way through to the ignition module. If the main relay does not switch correctly the ignition will feed power through the starter relay, same thing if one of the connectors to the Igniter or the Voltage Regulator is corroded, then when the starter button is released the power drops.
