my stock spark plug is NGK with part number C6hs7a. I am planning to change it to NGK platinum would there be a difference on my bike? Is it advisable? Is it true that shifting from platinum or iridium spark plug would minimize fuel consumption?thanks.

The only benefit would be longer spark plug life. My 98 Camaro SS came with them and when I pulled them at 14,000 miles, most of the platinum was off. I run Champion Copper Plus in it now.
For the bike I use Autolite plugs. I can buy a set of four for less money than one of the platinum plug costs. And they come with a two year, unlimited mileage warranty.

I would recommend the Iridiums, not so much for plug life (which is super), but for overall running of the bike. I noticed an incredibly smooth cold idle immediately.
