Red Oil light (trouble?!?! Help!!)

Hello, I have a 1995 Kawasaki Ninja zx-6r and when I turn the key to the on position the oil light is red until the bike starts..... its this and issue?

Does it mean im low on oil or anything like that, because once its started it off. I did not know the light meant oil until I removed the carbon fiber peice after I bought it and rode it for a week.

The Red oil light lights up when you turn the ignition on to let you know the system is working.
When you start your motor you get oil pressure and thats what puts the light out.
Worry if the light comes on when the motor is running, This means you have no oil pressure...!!!!!
