    Default Horn polarity.

Aftermarket horns show no polarity markings on them. I have the wiring schematics for my bike which show brown wires (hot side) and black/white wires (go back to the horn switch - ground on other side of horn switch [yellow/black]). There is no continuity from either terminal on the horn to the horn case. Does it simply not matter how they're connected?

Most kawasaki horns work by having the voltage go through the horn when the button is pushed. It acts like giving the horn a ground. What brand of after maket horn are you going to use? I'd try them with a battery first before installing them, also because after market horns can draw a lot more current than what you had, I'd get a relay to prevent the horn button from burning out.

Ear Cannon Air Horn :: Aerostich/RiderWearHouse Motorcycle Jackets, Suits, Clothing, & Gear is one type of loud motorcycle horn, and here's more relay information:

Yup, should have just tried hooking them up to a battery. Just like you said MFolks. They work wired either way. Thanks.
