Default Sythetic Gear Oil ?

I just changed oil at 6000, and I thought it might be a good time to change the Final Gear Case Oil since its been in there since the 600 mile service.

I realize pretty much any "Gl-5" gear oil will do, but I noticed Wally World sells a house brand SuperTech Synthetic Blend SAE 75W-90 gear lubricant (priced under $4.00 -so I'll probably start changing every 5-6k). Any opinions on that choice ?

MOM just says use a GL-5 Hypoid gear oil -SAE 90 for above 41F, and SAE 80 for below 41F. Guess no oil is needed if you just ride at 41F

Newbie to Kawasaki forum...I have a 05 mean streak that I changed the gear case at 600 mile to Mobil 1 synthetic 75w-90, original oil was very dark. I been noticing when I wash the Bike that I have seepage coming out and leaving residue on my rim?? I may have overfilled, doubt it, or I am wondering if the oil is too thin or not swelling the seals?? Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks

I changed mine on my 01 Nomad at 7000 and it was dirty. The previous owner had changed it at 800. I changed it again at 9000 when I put a new rear tire on. I also used mobil synthetic. I hadn't had any problems yet.

I have used Goodwrench synthetic 80w90 in my final drive, since my first change, and I change my final drive lube every other oil change or every 4,500 miles, and no troubles at all
