Default Valve cover removal part II

First off, I want to thank all those who gave me advice on removing the valve cover on my zx-11...My next question, I noticed the valve cover gasket is rubber, can it be re-used, or should I buy a new one ?? When using a rubber gasket, is it best to use a gasket sealer/rtv with it ??

Thanks Again !!

It is best to purchase a new one, www.oldbikebarn.com or the dealer.
You will need a small amount of oil safe silicone for the half-moon section of the gasket only.
You do not need to apply any other silicone elsewhere on the gasket.
Make sure everything is clean.

never replaced mine on the ZRX (same motor) and never really need to use any sealant on the half-moons. just tighten them down evenly in a criss cross pattern
