Default 2005 Vulcan 500 issues

I just bought an new Vulcan 500. It ran great for the first 600 miles now I'm having a little trouble. Sometimes the bike sputters and bogs down when I go to accelerate, like it's not getting fuel. Took it to the dealer because it was still under warranty, he said it was stale gas. No sure how this could be because the bike hasn't sat long enough for the gas to get stale. They cleaned it up and added fresh gas. It runs better, but still does it once in a while. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also sometimes it bogs down enough that the bike stalls and won't start back up unless I turn the ignition off and back on.

I have a 2006 and have had similar problems but to a lesser degree. Sometimes the bike hesitates. It happens so infrequently that I'm waiting for the 4000 mile service sometime next month. It could be that our gas tank is not venting properly. do you ever hear a sucking sound coming from the cap? It could also be a pinched hose. If it's a California model, it could be the emissions system.

If your not happy with what the dealer did, take it back again and tell them to fix it right this time.

I have been dealing with the vent problem on my 2005 500LTD.
Last week it stalled on the freeway again but at 20 miles after filling it.
I have drilled out the small vent hole twice now, so I don't think it's the problem.
There is a vent "plug" inside the cap I am going to remove next.
It sure is scarry when ya loose all power and have to try to get to the side of the road. Also switching to res or pri does nothing when vapor locking.

Think I solved the problem. I think it was a loose throttle grip. Made the necessary adjustments and haven't had the problem since.
