Clutch problem with 93 EX500

I was wondering if there is anyone that knows what could have gone wrong with my clutch.. I was gearing down when the clucth made a loud clacking noise like a pop can in a tire spoke, then the bike locked up and died. I costed down a hill in netural and tried to restart but the clutch was super hard and i couldnt squeeze it , when i finally compressed it enough to try to go in gear it made the noise again and died, then the clutch went completely limp or loose if you will. Now there is no pressure to the clutch, and ideas what caused this and how to fix it?

I would try pulling the clutch cover off and visually check it. Because from the sounds of it there is definetly something busted in there and by doing that you will be able to tell for sure.

sounds like you blew up your first clutch.
pull the clutch cover and pull apart the clutch to see what all went KABOOM. make sure you have a manual so you can pull it apart correctly and put it back together correctly
