Kawasaki Ninja 500R Coolant Change Procedure ?

Could someone please tell me the correct steps for changing the engine coolant in a Ninja 500R? I searched but couldn't find anything. This is my only vehicle and I want to be sure I know what I'm doing so I'm not without it for very long.

I assume it's as simple as changing car coolant, disconnecting a hose and letting it drain out, but I thought there may be a reason for the owner's manual saying to have the dealer do it.

Disconnect the hoses and drain the antifreeze. Put it back together and refill with a 50/50 mix. Its quite simple.

there is also a drain plug on the left hand side of the bike, on the water pump housing i believe. if you take off the lower fairing, you should see it. the clymer service manual also shows where it is. in my opinion, it's a whole lot easier than having to pry off a hose.

i found it by accident because the tweakers they have working at my dealer didn't make sure it was tight when they assembled my bike.
