I recently bought a bike off of ebay which is 2 states away that i will be picking up and driving back. It is a 1990 Ninja 600 and has a high rev problem in which the current owner says that the carbs need rebuilding. My question is does anyone know of what carbs from what years can cross with this bike. I have found some on ebay, but they are off of a 1991 91 Kawasaki ZX 600 C.
Anyone know if these carbs will work on the 90 model? or would it be better to just rebuild the original carbs on the bike. Remember that i am traveling by bus to pickup bike but i am mechanically inclined and have cleaned carbs on a 1996 Suzuki RF 600 model and they worked perfect when i put them back on. Only thing is that i only took off the bowls and clean the bottom of carbs. Supposedly the current carbs on the bike are leaking gas which tells me that the floats are sticking. So my main question is do I buy carbs on ebay ( if they will interchange) and just switch out or is the float sticking problem an easy fix on the bike. Please help I am new to the forums but I will be picking up in 2 weeks. thanks, oh if anyone is wondering why i did not have the owner take to a shop they are supposedly 2 months behind. |

With a manometer. There are hundreds of brands and several types on the market. There are even some home made versions. Here is what I use and I have the same carbs.
