    Default power

ok i know many of you have helped me and im really thankful for this, but still, the problem persists. the only logical thing i can conclude is that there is some power miscommunication from somwhere between the ingition and the relay or battery.
for those who dont know my problem:
my mule is the 1991, 2010. wev had it since then working 99%of the time..this time its not running. Just a recap, i changed the battery because it wouldnt start with the old one...after i did that, it wouldnt start. the junction box made a clicking noise...i assumed it was the solenoid. After jumping it with the screwdriver, i thought i solved my problem. I bought a new solenoid, but again the same problem. I then pressumed it was the junction box since it was clicking. maybe it had ruined. I went and changed that also. nothing, same problem. In the meantime, i had checked for looses wiring, or cut wires somewhere. found none. I also checked my fuses. nothing, all were fine. i turn the key to the on position and the lights and bed work. It cant be the starter because i can jump it and it will work, the jucntion box was replaced but yeilded the same result, and the solenoid was replaced but didnt change the result either. I cannot find what the problem is...i am 99% sure i hooked up the wires to the battery correctly and also beleive that the wires are ok...as far as i can see. Its almost been a week since i have been working under the mule...i have jacked it up and have been cleaning it and taking parts out trying to figure out the problem...if i can start it by jumping the solenoid but cannot start it with the key due to the relay, wouldnt that mean the problem falls somewhere between the key and the starter relay...what are some procedures i can take to figure out where the power is not going to and things as such...please help me please. im 19 years and this has been one hell of a learning experience. thanks alot

now what i need to know is how can i check the power...which wires...to make sure power is going from the ignition to the solenoid and starter....and through the relay..how can i go about doing this step by step...thanks

you need to get the wiring schematics and then you can see what wire is power "IN" and what power is "OUT" to the relay etc. then just go from there till you find where the power stops
sounds like youve basically chased it down to the starter switch or a wire between the solenoid/switch
