    Default Oil Light

I just bought a 2003 zx-6rr. It has 5500 miles on it. Last night I changed the oil and filter. This morning I started it and the oil light was on. I double checked the oil level and it was a little high. So I drained some of the oil and it is now correct, but the light is still on. Any suggestions?

When you changed the Oil & Filter last night did you start it up then and did the oil light go out if you did ??

Did you use an OEM filter ??

Did you prime the filter first ? ...Not that it's usually needed on that Model.

When the motor is running does it sound different EG knocking noise ??

I got it. I didn't let it run long enough. Thanks.
