Default yet another Carb question

Well if it's not one thing it's another

my 91 zx-7 runs amazing with the choke on right when you start it up. idles perfectly at 1300 rpm. once it gets warm though and i take the choke off it runs absolutley terrible, won't idle consistent at all and eventually just dies. sometimes you can start it right away again others you have to wait a while.. almost like it's flooded

so i know i have to clean the carbs but my question is what part of the carbs might be causing something like this? or rather where should i pay special attention.

also i tried to take the carbs off today and none of the screws want to come out, just going to end up stripping them if i keep going at this rate, any tips on how to get out stubborn screws as well??

Could be choke valve is sticking.Or Like in my case the O rings have fallen apart and letting to much gas in the chamber.
Get some of that spray liquid wrench, derusting stuff.Hose the screws down good.Let it sit for a day.Or a half day.
I have a 88 zx10 it has been out of commish for 2 weeks due to carb issues.Turns out the internal o rings are shot.Good luck.

well i had her out for about a 2 hour ride this morning and let me tell you if i keep the idle at 2000-2500 rpm she runs like a brand new bike and all kinds of power at all ranges. it's just idling at anything lower than that she sputters and quits. i'm thinking i'll probably just leave the idle high until i get some time and money to figure it out more.

try some seafoam, sounds like the slow jet/passageway is clogged and will need pulled apart to be cleaned.

+1, if you can fix it without pulling it apart then do it
