Question Ninja GAS TANK won't fit back on.

I am having dificulty placing back the gas tank. It does not seem to fit back properly. There is a gap left between the tank and the frame. I can stick my finger through it and even see on the other side of the bike if I kneel and look from the side. It doesn;t seem to fit back properly.

I installed an alarm system for my 2007 Ninja ZX6-R and i had to lift the gas tank so i can see to make sure the wires that I ran were not touching any of the engine parts. Now the only thing I did was remove the 2 screws at the top and lift it and then place it back in the same position.

If anybody encountered this problem before please let me know. Because I spent about an hour looking at every single tube and wire that could of possibly impeded the tank from going back on. And at this point I have no idea what it could be.

Thanks

This may be a stupid question, but did you check to see if it's seating properly on the rubber anti-vibration mounts? All bikes have some form of them, on my EX 500 its 2 rubber disks mounted near the triple tree. It could just be an issue of the manner in which you're trying to mount the tank, try putting it in at an angle if the rubber mounts are getting in the way.

Check to make sure your petcock isn't poking into anything either
