Question installing aftermarket LED turn signals?

ive got a 06 ex250 had it for about 3 months, and just layed it down 3 weeks ago. when i layed it down i busted the front turn signal, which led me to go ahead and put on after market lights instead of the big bulkies. anyway. i got the rears on and they began blinking kinda fast but i didnt really care, but when i put the fronts on. all 4 lights went dim and constantly stayed on untill turned off. so i was told to buy a bigger signal resistor, and install a relay adaptor. after having done so. all it did was make the lights brighter, but when i turn the turn signals on they all come on and stay on, NO blinking. so i put the oem lights back on the front and everything worked fine. so i put the aftermarkets on again and still no blinking just solid orange.. someone please help me.

+1 Take your flasher to your local auto supply store and tell them you want an electronic flasher to take the place of it.

ok i cant seem to find anyone who knows what a load equalizer is. however today i picked up an aftermarket relay made for the 06 ninja250 and it got my signals from staying solid to flashing, and flashing at the correct rate, however, now they dont flash independently. meaning when i hit the left signal all four come on and flash, and the same with the right, i cant get just one side to flash when the button is pushed.please please help

When I changed my bulbs out for LEDs on my last bike and my current one, I didn't mess with the relays. You can find a load equalizer at the following site - Motorcycle Load Equalizer - Badlands. Good folks and if you explain your situation to them, they may be able to help you out with some technical knowhow.

Yeah, the load equalizer I used was $15 but the electronic flasher method looks like a cleaner methodology. Wish I knew about it last year.

ok change in situation. i went through and checked all my connections. and tested each individual connection, the switch is fine and the oems work perfectly. now the R-signal will function on its own when you hit the button, but when you hit the L-signal all the lights come on again. and mind you, everything works great as long as i leave 2 oem lights attached

You were given 2 options by 4 different people.
A. Load equalize.
B. Electronic flasher.

You chose to go with option C.

yes its true i went with option c, the reason that i picked that is because after having look at the web sites that sold the load equalizers, none of them were made one for any of the (EX) models only the (ZX) line which doesnt match up. and i already had an electronic flasher, i bought it sunday and it didnt fix the problem. so after tinkering with it for about 5hrs tonight (7hrs total) i came to the conclusion that atleast one set of OEMs had to be wired up. so i wired them into the rear LED tail lights and taped the caseing with electrical tape and placed them under the seat between the plastics and the frame, surprisingly enough i lost no space under the seat and everything works the way it should. im sure that there is probably a better way, and i really appreciate everyone being eager to help, it really means alot coming from someone who doesnt know jack about motorcycles. none the less in the end i received the desired result, and there is no sign of it having been done incorrectly. i now have LEDs on both front and rear. thanks again everyone for being there to offer advice

And everyone wonders why I don't answer 250 Ninja questions. Because they come for advice from those more knowledgeable and then ignore it.

I don't think you have to buy a load equalizer for a certain bike. you can pick the load you want....
