Default help once again replaced rod bearings still knocks

alright i went to a mechanic they said that the rod was making noise wasn't valves. i tore it apart and the 4th piston rod had movement the others was tight. put new bearings in the rod and there wasn't any movement. i put it back together and there was still a loud noise. not so much of a ticking but a rough noise. like it wasn'th getting any oil. it was only on the 4th piston area. is there anyone can help me. i would take it somewhere but they told me to buy a new engine it would be cheaper. please help
    thanks

Hi! my hubby has a very similar problem. Does the noise kind of sound like a sewing machine running? His sounds a like a sewing maching with no lubrication.

If there is an oiling system problem in the block or crankshaft, that would have caused the original bearing to wear and will cause the new one to wear quickly.

What kind of bike is it? There were some gpz550 engines that had nasty burrs from a dull boring tool smeared over the oil holes, especially for the last rod bearing. These engines tended to have bearing failures.
