2. Read what you wrote and translate that for me please. 3. Check all your bulbs if they are all good and they all come on solid, replace the flasher. |

KE100, two stoke, narrow power band, are you used to
two stroke engines? They need to be rev’ed like a ‘banshee’ to make ‘em go good! Before you go too deep in what-if’s! Has the oil been changed, are you using good two stroke oil, what is the air filter like (clean/dirty), try a new spark plug! You say the battery is charged, but, the lights getting brighter should mean the charging system is working. . . Just putting a charger onto the battery overnight may not 'prove' the battery is fully charged, if that is what you mean! Dim lights at tickover engine speed is not too uncommon! It just means the engine’s electrical system is – well – basic! Though, do take in mind the batteries on these bikes are VERY small, often let to run dry (poor maintenance)! So, have a tortured life at best (any fluid, or topped up)! Check the batteries output, or get it checked out. Your local bike shop should be able to help, ask ‘nicely’, the check will likely be free – the battery though whilst not free (not expensive) is a different matter. An easy check for the battery, if, a battery hydrometer is not available, is use the bikes headlight – no engine running (if necessary remove headlamp, and connect across the battery). The headlamp bulb should be nice and bright for about five minutes, plus! This may well cure the indicator problems too. If not, click on my username, read through some posts. Other posts too on similar subjects, look around the forum! Do these checks, nice and easy. Mr mischief

oil is under the seat dont matter how much you put in, just make sur it never empty's, also i have the same bike, and yes, you have to rev it like a wild moose to get power, i have had 65mph, (110kph) on a flat but only if you rev it right to the top of its range. and its only a 6V power system so the lights wont be bright, but you battery might be finished anyway, there only cheap

as Far as Bogging down when You rev it up... Check Your carb.one, check to make sure water didn't collect in bottom of carb(float bowl). second, make sure your carb is on ALL the way towards engine. If You removed it ,it feels like it is on but may not be and getting air leak. A friend showed me all this when it was bogging on My '93 KE100. I also ended up having to put disposable fuel filter to catch rust and trash from getting back into carb jet and clogging again too. at least til I runn a couple of tanks full of gas through it.

Did you ever figure out how to change the oil? I assume you were referring to transmission oil, not 2-stroke oil.
I ask because I bought one last weekend, a great little toy with almost no miles on it. However, there's no dipstick and no sight glass that I can see, unfortunately, there's also no manual. So since it's been a few months, I figure you may have found out. BTW, mine has a dead battery, the lights are really dim, almost no flashing to be seen when the blinker is on, perhaps your battery is toast too. Can't help you out with the bogging down issues that hasn't already been said. Thanks.
