Default ZXR750 Carbs in other Kawi 750 Models?

    Hello again Guys.....

some of you may, or may not have seen my previous post about my ZXR750 L2 overfueling. i've been looking for replacement bits 2nd hand which might help me with my problems and speed up the repairs. i will take apart the carb, engine etc if i have to. although i suspect its carb problems more than anything else.

my question is.....im after some ZXR750 L2 carbs. either std or jetted for an aftermarket exhaust & K&N filter.
but these seem to be pretty scarce at the moment. so, are there any other Kawi 750 models which use the same carbs and basically bolt right on with minimum effort?

I remember...seems like I even remember it is a '96...and that you are located in the UK. But providing this type of information for us when asking questions such as this really goes a long way in getting some answers.

Also providing the carb #s off your current bike would be helpful. Check out Red Monkey as well. These guys are all over trash like this, and you will probably locate a set of carbs easier and save on shipping over the USA. I know of a couple of sets of carbs, depending upon which ones you currently have.

Where are you in the UK Alex? Your problem didn't sound that hard to sort out, I'm in NN10 postcode and go down to my girlfriends in Aylesbury all the time so if you're not too far away from either place I don't mind helping you.

Even across the ZXR series carbs had different bores and jetting and the K series didn't have CV carbs. Some models had mods to prevent carb icing. Although sticking to L series ones but might be a safe-ish bet it hardly seems worth the aggro and cost as you're going to have to clean and check the float settings and all the fuel and air jet sizes in another bank of carbs and get them balanced once fitted.

    ahhhhh.....

yea the reason why i was asking about the carbs etc. was that i was trying to basically do a plug and play option and fix the probs i had quicker.

i was gonna pickup a new (used) set of carbs, another fuel pump, and a fuel pump relay and just replace the bits. not having to bother taking the carbs apart and messing about with floats etc.

but if im gonna have to do that on the new (used) set of carbs anyway, i might aswell do it on the ones i have, so i wont bother looking down this route for a bit.

    im in bristol
