Kz550 Starter Clutch

Heyall -

I'm trying to replace the rollers/pins/springs on the starter clutch on my Kz550. I am attempting to do it by going through the bottom. The oil pan, oil pump, and clutch are removed.

There is a circlip that's holding on the starter clutch assembly and it's preventing me from sliding the secondary shaft out.

Does anyone know how to get around this issue?
