Replacement bulbs for OEM Lightbar?

I just installed a lightbar for my Vulcan 1500 Classic and I notice that the lights aren't as bright as my aftermarket white headlight. Should I switch them out, but to what? Gadget's site says not to put 55w bulbs in. Would new bulbs make a difference, or are you satisfied with the brightness of our lightbar

Hopefully someone who has a light bar will respond or you may get better results in the Cruiser section.

As for the tech side of your Q.

Check the rating of the installed bulbs you'll probably find there only about 5 or 10w which would be the reason there saying not to upgrade to 55's the circuit will have been designed for the lower rated bulbs so 2x55's will pull to much current.

Having said that it's not hard to uprate the wiring and fuse but there may be an issue with the light housing not be able to stand the extra heat generated by the 55's.
