Default engine shutting off

Help I need some imput. When My bike is on the kick stand it starts and runs fine, when I stand it up it quits. It is in neutral with the clutch out. It is a vulcan classic 1500 2005. this started the other night on the way home from work ,went around a curve and when i came back up it quit. She didnt sputer or anything like that it was like i shut it off. There are know lights warning lights coming on to alert me of a FI problem and there is nothing in the service manual about it. Any ideas will be helpful. Thanks

Check for the obvious, loose battery cable etc. before getting too excited.

Check tip over sensor if the bike is equipped with one.

Bingo.

Easy, just bypass it.
Then you never have to worry about it again.
I bypass them on any bike i buy as one of the first things i do to them.
If i get a new bike, its home, check all bolts, fluids, tire pressures, and then bypass the sidestand switch.
Heck hit a bump hard even when they are not broken, and they can shut the motor off as the stand goes down a little from the force of the hit.

I'll share how stupid I have been and had similar issue,,,, check the fuel tank vent tube,,,,had my line pinched off on my bike and she would shut down on me every now and again,,,, then start right back up after I popped the gas cap to see if I still had fuel (venting the tank),,,,then do the same thing again,,,,Hope my stupidity helps,,,,MB
